Pilot programme
Where ScribeMat is in its clinical validation journey, and how NHS Trusts can get involved.
Where we are now — simulation phase
ScribeMat is currently completing a structured simulation-based testing programme with clinical staff at an NHS maternity unit. The simulations cover two high-acuity emergency scenarios:
- Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH)
- Neonatal Life Support (NLS)
The simulation programme has full R&D governance approval and a completed Data Protection Impact Assessment, ensuring it meets NHS standards before any clinical involvement.
Usability & feedback
All simulation participants are assessed using the System Usability Scale (SUS) — an industry-standard measure of interface usability — alongside structured clinical feedback. Results are used to refine the platform ahead of live trial.
What comes next — live trial
Following completion of the simulation programme, ScribeMat will progress to a short live clinical trial at an NHS Trust. This will involve real clinical environments and real-time use during emergency scenarios, under full governance and clinical oversight.
Interested in participating?
We are in early conversations with NHS Trusts about participation in the live trial and beyond. If your Trust is interested, we would welcome a conversation about your maternity services and how ScribeMat could support your team.
